Bio: Gena McCullough is the Deputy Director of Bi-State Regional Commission. She has been with the organization since 1988. Bi-State Regional Commission is the MPO for Quad Cities-Davenport-IA/IL Urbanized Area, as well as the Regional Planning Agency for a five-county council of governments bordering eastern Iowa and western Illinois on the Mississippi River. Ms. McCullough, is a certified planner (AICP) and involved in a variety of planning activities related to urban and regional transportation, air quality, solid waste planning and management, riverfront development, community development and health, and land use and environmental planning. She received a Bachelors Degree in Geology and a Masters in Geography from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and a certificate in public management from Northern Illinois University. She represents Illinois on the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) – RPO America Council since 2008, and is the current Chair of RPO America.
