Bio: In 2017 I graduated from Valparaiso University with a double major in Geography and Biology and double minor in Chemistry and Native American Studies. While in attendance at Valparaiso University, I held a variety of intern positions that were focused on GIS data editing and mapping for the management of natural resources and county infrastructure in the Northwest Indiana region. In 2019 I graduated from Missouri State University with a Master of Science in Geospatial Sciences in Geography, Geology, and Planning while also obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Monitoring & Sampling. In graduate school, I successfully developed and implemented my master’s thesis utilizing ESRI GIS products and raster imagery to analyze spatial data. I have previously held positions where I created, edited, and interpreted maps to manage and manipulate data in GIS databases and developed new workflows that improved efficiency. I've also used GIS applications to review and advise city boards on planning recommendations for major land development projects and zoning variances for compliance with city codes and comprehensive plans. In my current role, I identify and interpret regional trends for planning activities and community partners that relate to transportation, demographic, environmental justice, economic, housing, fiscal, and other spatial data. I am also responsible for the establishment and maintenance of an open-source data clearinghouse focused on analyzing transportation, demographic, and financial statistics related to regional goals.
