Bio: KYOVA - Saleem Salameh, Ph.D., P.E., M. ASCE, has over 20 years of experience in the area of transportation planning. Currently the Deputy Director with KYOVA Interstate Planning Commission, Dr. Salameh’ s responsibilities include all activities related to the transportation planning process, including preparation of long and short range plans, traffic model development, air quality conformity analysis, technical studies, access management, geometric analysis, capacity analysis, statistical analysis, multi-modal transportation planning studies, project management, project impact studies and transit planning. Prior to that, he was Transportation Planner Engineer for the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG). He is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) registered with both Ohio and West Virginia’s Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. Also, he is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Dr. Salameh has both a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from University of Toledo as well as a Ph.D. in Engineering Science. He was guest lecturer and served as Adjunct Faculty at Marshall University Graduate College and West Virginia Institute of Technology/ West Virginia University. He has served as Transportation Committee Chairman for the Ohio Association of Regional Councils (OARC) and a member on the Technical Committee for the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (AMPO). Dr. Salameh resides in Barboursville, West Virginia with his wife and 4 children.
